President

With several years experience in sales and marketing of various products and services, Dan entered the mortgage brokerage business in 1982 as a mortgage specialist with a small mortgage brokerage operation in Kitchener-Waterloo. Within one year, Dan and fellow employee Richard Kitts formed Tristar Funding Corporation, which quickly grew to be one of the largest brokerage operations in Ontario. Looking for new and exciting challenges Dan accepted the position of area franchise manager for Mortgage Centre Canada in 1992. In 1998 Dan was appointed President of Mortgage Centre Canada – a Division of CIBC Mortgages Inc. and by the end of 2005 the Mortgage Centre network had grown into the second largest mortgage brokerage operation in Canada producing 6.5 billion dollars of annual residential mortgage volume. In 2006 Dan was appointed President of Originations for Macquarie Financial – a new entrant in the residential mortgage space in Canada. In Dan’s first year with Macquarie Financial he and his team managed to more than double Macquarie’s annual residential mortgage volume.
